Doggett Law Firm, located in San Antonio, provides a broad range of corporate and tax legal services. We focus on entity formations, mergers and acquisitions, private placements and general counsel consulting.

We have experience working with clients ranging from start-up companies to large corporations across diverse industries including health care, entertainment, restaurant, technology, real estate development, retail and manufacturing. Most of our clients are entrepreneurs. As a business owner himself, David Doggett understands the entrepreneurial spirit and the competing demands on an entrepreneur's time and resources.

David Doggett founded Doggett Law Firm in May of 2008. With the ever-increasing costs of legal counsel, he recognized an opportunity to offer more flexible, affordable services to small and medium-sized businesses while providing clients with increased accessibility and large-firm expertise.

Prior to forming Doggett Law Firm, David was of counsel with the San Antonio office of Strasburger & Price in the Corporate Securities and Tax Practice Units. There he advised established businesses and emerging companies on a variety of legal matters, including: private offerings, mergers & acquisitions, corporate governance, strategic alliances, business formation, contract drafting, general business issues and transactional tax matters.

Prior to joining Strasburger, David served as Vice President of the legal and tax department for The SCOOTER Store. As the senior in-house counsel for a large corporation, he gained a wide breadth of experience in varying legal and business areas including managing the legal function to optimize the balance between quality and cost.

Prior to joining The SCOOTER Store, David was a shareholder at Mathews and Branscomb, PC. There he was the recruiting shareholder and practiced in the tax and corporate securities practice groups.

David was a National Merit Scholar at Trinity University where he received his bachelor's degree in economics. He then received his law degree, cum laude, from South Texas College of Law. He concluded his formal education at New York University School of Law obtaining his master's in tax law.
